Thank you to everyone that turned up last Tuesday to our final P&C meeting for the year. We closed out a few items and also reflected on what has been a busy yet successful year. We are already starting to plan for next year and our initial thoughts are that we will have a couple of key/large fund raising events to coincide with the school’s 60th Anniversary.
One of our key initiatives of the year was to expand the turf in the lower playground. On Monday the “Jannali East Sports Fields” were officially opened by our local member for Miranda Ms Eleni Petinos. I would like to thank the staff and students and especially the school leaders who ran the assembly, you all did the school proud. It was great to hear that the students are really enjoying the new area and I hope that it continues to be looked after and enjoyed for years to come.
As I mentioned before it has been a successful year for the P&C, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the P&C executive, the canteen and uniform shop coordinators and their volunteers as well as the fundraising team and the school community that assists and supports our fund raising initiatives. We are a relatively small community but it is when we band together and work towards a common goal we get the best results.
On behalf of the P&C I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you all back with us in 2016.
