On Tuesday night, after a busy night of disco dancing and sushi eating, the P&C met and made a number of really exciting decisions:
First, we have committed all the funds raised through the 60th Anniversary celebrations towards preparing a masterplan to extend the playground and install play equipment for our kids.
Second, to recognise Mrs Cooper’s retirement, the P&C will present her with an appropriate gift (more details will be revealed later).
Third, the P&C has allocated up to $4,000 to investigate the development of a landscape masterplan.
Fourth, the P&C has given up to $400 to the School to purchase netball hoops to be installed under the COLA.
Fifth, we will hold a working bee in Term 2 to refurbish the toilet blocks. We will work out a date soon.
Finally, the P&C has given up to $5,000 to the School to purchase home readers for K-2.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who submitted discussion points via the website. It was a great discussion as we worked through the above. This now means we can work on a plan in consultation with the Department to enhance the learning and playground environment at the school. As we progress through the development of the plan we will be in constant contact for feedback, most likely through our website.
Finally we are putting on a breakfast for all the new families who arrived at the school this year. This will be held on the last Thursday of term the 7th April. This is a great opportunity to catch up but also to celebrate surviving the first term.
Happy Easter to everyone enjoy the break and travel safe.
