A fantastic celebration of 60 years at Jannali East Public School
On Sunday 6 November, we celebrated 60 years at Jannali East with a fantastic fete – so many happy faces!
The weather was beautiful, and with performances from our students, class stalls, rides, food, and external stall-holders, the day went very well.
There were opportunities for former students to catch-up in the specially built “Reunion Cafe” – it was wonderful seeing old friends chatting and laughing like they were back in the playground.
Ms Eleni Petinos MP, Member for Miranda, representing the Minister for Education, came to launch our anniversary cookbook – Jannali Eats.
If you weren’t able to purchase a cookbook at the fete, you can order one online. We also have our delightful teatowels with a hand-drawn picture of every student and staff member from 2016 for sale online as well.
A big thank you to all the parents and staff who helped volunteer their time to make sure it all went so well. We were able to raise over $15,200! We also recognise the valuable contributions of our sponsors and our local businesses who donated prizes – please show your support.
We especially thank the Fete / Cookbook committee, Keren, Emma, Sev and Kym – we could not have done it without them. Many hours were spent carefully planning and preparing. Thank you team.
Congratulations, and Happy Birthday Jannali East!
