At Tuesday night’s P&C, the preliminary designs for the playground expansion have been received from the landscape architects.
Although there is still some more detailed work to do – they show what is planned – and it is very exciting!
The P&C and staff are very very pleased that we can now get started on this huge project.
On Tuesday night, the P&C also committed $80,000 towards the costs of stage 1 of the expansion. This is in addition to the $20,000 already committed by the P&C towards the new design, the school’s contribution of a new fence and other costs, and the substantial contribution of funds committed by JEBASC. The support of the school and JEBASC is vital, and very much appreciated.
The preliminary designs can be seen via the links below.
We are keen to progress the proposed works and hope to commence construction of Stage 1 as soon as possible this year. The next steps will be to prepare the formal tender documents, and finalise the amount of funds required.
Those funds have been raised by the P&C over the last few years, and many thanks to those who contributed their time and effort – with the long term vision to see the playground expansion become a reality.
This is only stage 1 – and we look forward to your support in raising the money to make Stage 1 and Stage 2 possible.
